SOS / crisis access
The SOS button is reachable from every screen. One tap opens standard phone links to:
- The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
- Emergency services (911)
- The SAMHSA National Helpline
- Anyone you've added as an emergency contact, plus your sponsor automatically once you've named one
My Recovery Program does not provide medical, clinical, or crisis services itself, and nothing you do in the app is transmitted to these organizations or to the people you call. It only opens the same phone or text link you'd dial yourself.
Local fellowship hotlines are entered by you in Settings, and confirmed by you - the app never auto-selects a number from a database it maintains, so you never see a stale or wrong number.
